Rugby Season Still

It's been a great experience for Trevor to participate in the sport of Rugby. It has been a stressful season for mom to watch. At his last home game, Bryan's parents came to watch and his mom was having a hard time watching how hard they hit and how if someone gets hurt, they DON'T stop the game. She kept telling me, "Tonya, as long as Trevor plays this game, you need to be at EVERY game of his, just in case he gets hurt." It's such a dangerous game and it doesn't stop. He has learned so much from his great coaches. Therefore, the season isn't over YET. They are going to state and will be playing the top teams this weekend. He just needs to get through 2 more games and can then start preparing for FOOTBALL.
I like to see him on the field ALL BY HIMSELF, as least I know he's safe.

But that doesn't last for long, because MY BOY loves to be involved in the play and making those tackles. I have begged him to PLEASE play smart and after you tackle, JUMP out of the pile of guys so one of those bodies don't land on you. Trevor being tackled. Trevor runs with everything he's got, trying to get a TRY (Touchdown or Goal)

Whenever his arms go above his head, I know that he is either hurt, tired or exhausted. He tells me, "I'm just resting Mom, don't worry." In his last game he got to experience what a concussion was all about. He couldn't remember anything about the game. That scared him into really playing smart. It's just the cheap shots that you don't see coming.

In the next picture you may not see Trevor's face, because he is the one that is flying with his head between the guys legs, coming in for a tackle.

We have wonderful fans, parents, students who come and support the boys. Rugby has sure grown in popularity.

Trevor trying to bring down their biggest and most athletic player.

Trevor pitching the ball off to his teammate.

Trevor running with the ball, he always makes me nervous when he is carrying the ball. They have NO pads or protection so when they get hit, IT'S HARD!!!

The final bow, which means GAME OVER!!

KALAMITY & Classes

The Final Look of the Wall
This is the final look of the wall. I love the final product!!! Tia's adult hip hop class has become a huge success. She has so many people there that last week 5 people left because there wasn't any more room. So she added another hip hop class during the week and both classes are packed. Who needs ZUMBA, come to her HIP HOP class and you will get the workout that you've been looking for. KALAMITY dance group-I am so glad that my daughter Cambria has had this wonderful opportunity to dance with her aunt/sister Tia. She has taught her sooo much and has been such an amazing example to her of what she wants in her life. I see so much of Tia in Cambria. Thank you Tia for being that wonderful example and teaching her responsibility. What a great group of people to be involved with. Four of the girls in this group, including Tia have been married in the temple, 4 have had children or are currently pregnant and still dancing. Another example of Tia. The Adult Hip Hop Class! wall to wall people. Tia is on the far left in the aqua shirt. WOW~ Hot, steamy, Loud, fun and a great workout!!!

Dance as If NOBODY is Watching!!!!

The VAULT

My little sister Tia, finally made the big move to open her own studio. She is an amazing dance teacher and has founded this dance group ~pretty much for her own need, meaning-she wanted to continue to dance and wanted to find people to dance with her, so she started KALAMITY! Then she wanted to help people in need with her talent so KALAMITY dances for people who are going through their own calamity in their life. So they dance and donate all that is raised from their shows to their causes. She has danced for 4 different causes so far and has raised lots of money for all 4 causes. She and her group are amazing.
So she felt like her KALAMITY group needed a place to call their home. She has been teaching out of other studios, being bumped from here and there and so she felt like NOW was the time. She found a perfect place off of Bluff St. and the lady gave her a great deal, that she couldn't pass it up. I am so proud of her and all that she has accomplished with her talent.
She has just added to her next generation of dance groups KAOS which is the next KALAMITY. They will perform at the shows together for their causes. These girls come and tryout and the group is made. Tia had her first tryout for KAOS and 25 girls showed up and 10 were chosen. That is as many as a high school tryout. Good job Tia.

Tia's Graffiti Wall - It has taken on a lot of different faces. This was the second look.

Cute Tia in front of her wall, this was the first look.

Tribute to my 2 Mom's

I have been so blessed to be raised by a woman who put her children and her family after her love of the savior. She has taught me many things that I hope I have implemented in my own life as a mother. I remember her playing with us on the playground when she would take us to the park. She wasn't the type of mom to watch us play, she played on the merry go round with us and climbed the jungle gym, etc. She was all about having fun and never wanting to grow up. I remember her always doing her best in every position whether it was in church or community, she did everything fabulous and elaborate. I remember cleaning the house EVERY SINGLE DAY, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, scrubbing floors, etc. EVERY SINGLE DAY! I watched her give service all the time to those in need, especially to my grandma Hannemann. There are so many other things, but these are just a few that I feel honored to call her my MOM.

These two people have been the greatest example to me of a powerful couple. I love my parents so much and admire how they come through adversity with all of the love they have for each other.

My family with my parents:
Cecilee (17), Bryan, Tonya, Cambria (18), Sydnee (12) & Trevor (14)

Trevor with my parents after his regional basketball game with our ward. Trevor is ALMOST as tall as grandpa. He can't wait for the day to be the same heighth. (15 yrs)

My mom with two of her daughters-Tia & Me and her oldest granddaughter Cambria

This woman gave me her greatest gift on June 22, 1991 - her oldest son. I remember the day that we got married and she was holding onto his arm in the temple just bawling and holding him close to her. She was so cute, I did realize that it was her first and that he was her oldest. I hope she realized that I was able to take care of him as well as she did. I for sure didn't let him go hungry. I love her and how she raised him to be the kind of man, husband and father that he is to us. She did a great job!!!

My MIL with my children at Grandma Horlacher's Funeral

My husband loves his mother so much. I remember when we first got married and we had been married about 3 months and he and I were sitting in our bed just talking about growing up and leaving our families. We both just started bawling and missing our families so bad. Then after about 15 minutes we started cracking up and thinking what idiots we must look like. His mom was always teaching her boys, especially how to be sensitive and how to look out for those who are different and special and not to be rude or mean.

This has got to be one of my favorite pictures of all time.
