We had some changes take place in our stake, we lost the Gunlock Ward and the Heritage Branch to the new Santa Clara Stake. So that meant we lost Laura Leavitt in our Stake Young Women's Presidency. So we wanted to do one last thing together as a presidency so we went to Pizza Factory and had a salad. We love being together and I have learned so much from these incredible women. I always wonder, "Who am I to be part of this presidency, these ladies are so spiritual and MATURE. and then there's ME." Well I have learned so much from them and I feel it a pleasure to be part of this wonderful organization.

KARAOKE TIME
Youth Conference for the Ivins Stake was held at home this year and was a total success. We started on Thursday morning and went until Saturday afternoon. The kids had an absolute blast. They started off with meeting at the Tabernacle and getting to know you games, then went swimming at the Ence's pool and other activities then ended the evening with watching, "17 Miracles". Amazing movie-the youth were suppose to watch The Little Mermaid at Tuacahn, but it wasn't ready to be seen, so the bishop from our ward was able to get a hold of a copy of the movie "17 Miracles" and we had our own preview, since they were previewing it in Salt Lake City and Opening Night was planned for Friday night. The movie was incredible, some of the miracles that took place, could've ONLY been miracles. They were amazing. "Faith Precedes The Miracle"
Sara B. (Sec.), Me, (1st Counselor), Laura L., (2nd Counselor) Lisa E., (Pres.)
The next day started off with breakfast and then onto a History Tour with their groups. They went to the Jacob Hamlin Home, Brigham Young's Home, The Visitor Center and a Movie at the Visitor Center. Afterwards they heard Hyrum Smith speak and then a water park fun at the park. They had a huge slip n slide, a dunk tank, tug o war, a big blow up torpedo slide, water volleyball, etc. The kids had a blast. They ended the evening with an etiquette dinner and dance. My son had fun with his little entourage of friends, and the little girls were having fun watching their every move.
Saturday ended up with a wonderful dutchoven breakfast, speakers and testimony meeting. The kids seem to enjoy the movie "17 Miracles", so many of them expressed their love for the pioneers and the incredible miracles that took place. It was a great youth conference.

New Beginnings 2011
This years New Beginnings had the theme of "The Biggest Gainer" kinds like "The Biggest Loser" but it was showing how the girls are GAINING values and using their Personal Progress to be stronger and better Young Women. It was just adorable. They had two trainers to help them with their Personal Progress and showed before and afters of how they applied their Personal Progress in their lives and they became better young women. Sooo cute. They also had commerical breaks-infomercial about Personal Progress and also getting a bowl of B.O.M.B = Book Of Mormon Book. The Leaders did such a good job. Cecilee also worked alot on this activity as one of her 10 hours projects. The young woman program is amazing and totally inspired.

My Life-Right NOW!!!
I have been so busy that I haven't been able to, or TOOOO tired to take the time to, update our family blog. I am just taking one project at a time, whether it's work, pageant, grad nite, ironman, church calling, etc. Sometimes I just feel like screaming, I wish I knew that 2 letter word "NO". Oh well, I have learned to take deep breaths and count to 10. The Princess Pageant is less than a week, 6 days away. I have 13 contestants and only one unhappy mother that wanted to turn me into the STATE of UTAH because I asked the girls to miss 40 minutes of school for a dress rehearsal. HOW DO YOU TURN IN A VOLUNTEER? Oh well, I worked it out and have to keep telling myself, this is all for a good cause. It's for the girls, not their S***** moms.
After the Pageant, my next project is the Ironman-NO I am not doing it, I am helping with an aid station with the royalty for Ivins. It should be fun and what a great opportunity to watch these amazing people participate in the race. I am excited, that will be on May 1st. After that Grad nite.
Grad nite is graduation nite which is May 27th - I am in charge of polynesian entertainment. I am slowly working on that, I have found a fireknife dancer and my sister Irene said that she will help me put together a show. Thank goodness for a talented sister.
All between those projects is my new calling in the Stake YW that there is a Standards Nite that I am conducting and speaking at on April 14th and a Stake Leadership Mtg. on April 22nd. Also my full time job, 4 days a week and very busy kids who are involved in alot of stuff. I usually have about 4 soccer games and 2 basketball games a week. I really do love my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love being involved and being busy, SOMETIMES. What would I do, if I didn't do any of these things? Maybe clean my house.... hummmmm I'll have to look into that. I am so thankful for such an understanding and supportive husband and family who are always there to help me and do whatever I need them to do. Life is wonderful.
I wrote all of this for me to be able to look back on and think, WHAT WAS I THINKING, WHAT AN IDIOT!!!!

A New Calling
Sunday was Stake conference and I was called to serve in the Stake Young Women's Presidency as 1st Counselor. As they sustained me, the stake president asked me to come up and bare my testimony. WOW, what a flashback, our family spoke in stake conference about 2 years ago and now I'm having to do it again. I am totally still traumatized by that experience, but of course I went up. It wasn't too bad. I am so excited about my new calling. I am going to be working with some amazing women. One happens to be my best friend from high school, Sara. We don't see a whole lot of each other so we feel like it's Heavenly Father's way of getting us together.

In Support of Our Scout Leader
This week Trevor's scout Leader and our friend, James Evans dad passed away. Being the Compassionate Service Leader in my ward I arranged a BIG meal to be brought into the family of 5 Lasagna's, 3 Salads, Lots of Garlic Bread and then I wanted to have dessert and wanted to have James' scouts help out with that. James is their scout leader and a wonderful leader to these boys. So I asked them if they would mind making some cookies to take over to James' house for dessert and then if they wanted to show support for James' meet at our home at 6:00pm in their scout uniforms and we would go over to the viewing. We had ALL of the boys except for one show up with cookies and fully dressed in uniform. It was awesome to see them all come into the funeral home and to see the look on the faces of the family. The boys were such gentlemen and it was such a good experience for them. Bryan and the Bishop drove the boys over to the viewing and spoke to them about showing respect and reverence and exactly what a viewing is all about. They were so cute to watch.
