S.O.S. Hannemann Love Boat Cruise 2010

................................................................................
It was a total success. We put together these lifesaver's and wrote our theme: "S.O.S." and transformed the dorms to a cruise ship. We had all sorts of sayings that fit S.O.S. like: "Seek Our Savior" or "Search Our Scriptures" etc.

Here is the lobby to the ship. We wanted it to look like they were really coming onto a ship. We blew up balloons and set up a check in station for them to turn in their boarding passes.
Introducing our Captain: Clayton K. AhQuin and The Cruise Director: Irene AhQuin -- my parents were amazing through this whole reunion. They did so much to make this reunion a success and truly tried to make it a real cruise for everyone.
We then had a photo area set up for their families to take pictures with our lifesize relatives who had already passed on. My grandma and grandpa Hannemann and Uncle Jr. Alot of the family members got a little emotional when they saw them.
These are all of the4th generation. The 4th generation is me and my cousin's children.

Happy 18th Birthday Cambria!!!

I can't even believe I have a child who is an adult now. Time just seems to have flown by. I remember being 18, I remember giving birth to her 18 years ago like it was yesterday. I remember finding out that I was pregnant with her and how excited I was to experience that part of my life with Bryan. I remember taking her to the first day of kindergarten and standing in the gym and signing up for PTA and thinking that I am turning into my mother. I remember watching her go to the Intermediate School and hoping that she wouldn't be picked on or be a nerd. I remember listening to her when she came home from 7th grade and she talked about the cute boys, especially Berkley Ward and continued to like him till the 9th grade. I remember watching her go to the Middle School and she loved to be involved in everything and more boys, Brody Fausett, that lasted for a few more years. She stuck with the same boys for years at a time, that ended the beginning of her Senior Year. I remember watching her play soccer for years and thinking that she would do that throughout high school, I was wrong. I remember watching her tryout for Cheer and being so nervous for her, because it was TOTALLY out of her comfort zone. I remember watching her cheer at the football & basketball games and hoping that this would last forever. WELL, I was wrong again, NOTHING lasts forever. I now have experienced elementary, intermediate, middle, high school and graduation with her and now moving onto COLLEGE. I want the time to slow down a little. I have thoroughly enjoyed raising my firstborn. And if I do say so myself, "I think I did a pretty good job without a manual. It's been so much fun and such an adventure." I feel so honored to be her mother. Happy 18th Birthday, Cam.

Our Family Reunion is HERE!!! Ready OR Not!!!

Our Hannemann Family gets together for a family reunion EVERY year and every family member takes a turn to put it on, from my mom's family. (Just a little background, my mom comes from a family of 14 brothers and sisters-11 sisters and 3 brothers) They and their children take turns being in charge, so this year 2010 - OUR FAMILY IS OVER THE FAMILY REUNION!!!! We are all so excited!! We wanted to do a theme and sail away with it---------I bet you have NO idea what our theme is from that clue. Well, we decided to do "THE LOVE BOAT" - Cruise style. We have had soooo much fun coming up with ideas and doing all of the planning. From boarding passes to the "LIDO DECK" to the mints on the pillows and the towel animals, it should be a blast!!!! I can't believe that its here already. We decided to go with different ports on each day (The ports will be the countries that my grandparents are from) so the first day they will be docking in Germany and we will have German food and German decorations for the picture taking, etc. Then Friday will be Samoa - we will of course have Samoan Food and decorations and then Saturday will be America, Sunday will be International so we can put all of the leftovers out on the buffet table. We are so excited and can't wait to see all of our cousins. There will be approximately 125 people in attendance, 13 of my mom's brother's and sisters and ONLY 41 other family members who will be missing and totally missed. We will most definately be taking pictures everyday of every family at all of the ports and putting them on the walls like they do on the cruise ships. We will also be taking pictures everywhere. The highlight is usually our Family Talent Show and our famous family game, "Make Me Laugh". We leave tomorrow for a fun filled weekend with our family. There will definately be pictures to post.

Let the Fireworks Begin!!!!

As the night went on at the park the sprinklers came on and we all ran for coverage. The main one we were worried about was Legend. "GRAB THE BABY". So we all went back to Andy and Tia's for fireworks. We enjoyed hanging out and watching the neighbor's fireworks and then the city's fireworks and then we had our own show, and Andy had Trevor do the honors in lighting all of the fireworks. WOW, that's a PYRO's dream job!!!! He had a blast!!!
