St. George Marathon

All of us at the top of Snow Canyon after seeing and cheering Tia on.
Tia and Andy right after coming through the finish line.
Our marathon runner - Tia and all her Leis.
All of us with Tia.
Tia and her siblings that were there to cheer her on. We missed Mom, Clay, (both in California), Max (football game), Adam (Wife very pregnant).
****************
October 3rd, 2009 Tia ran the St. George Marathon. We as a family gathered to support her and cheer on all of the runners, especially Tia. My dad came with us and this was his first time being on the other end of the marathon. Usually he is one of the runners, for ten years in a row (1995-2005) he ran and our family had it down. We would all gather at my house in Ivins and go up to Snow Canyon and wait for him to come through and then dash on down to Bluff St. Park and cheer there and run down to the finish line. So my dad comes and starts trying to tell us when we should go and where, etc. I told him, "Dad, we are pro's at this marathon thing, you just sit back and enjoy the ride and we will show you what we did for 10 years watching you." He justed laughed, he realized we knew what we were doing and it's true, he's never been on this side of the marathon. He was amazed. He didn't know what we went through to get up there to see him. We made it to the first stop and walked a little ways to get up there, we were there for maybe 20 minutes and Tia came through. We were so excited to see her. She looked so good. I was so proud of her. Then we all hurried and made it to our cars and ran down to the finish line. Andy missed her up at Snow Canyon and was NOT a happy camper. I felt bad for Tia, because when she saw all of us, the main person she was looking for want' there. The stupid rangers wouldn't let Andy come up with his car any further, so he missed her. He did see her at the 25 mile marker and ran with her into the finish line. They are such a cute couple. He loves her so much and it shows in everything he does for her. We all met them at the finish line and covered her in candy leis.

Homecoming Pictures of my girls

Cecilee and her cute date, Trevor Nelson.
I figured I had better catch the good night kiss, so they don't have to worry about it later.
I wanted a picture of both my girls before they both left, so right before Cecilee left I made Cambria get in her dress for a quick shot. She complained because she didn't have makeup on, but I told her to smile and that's all the makeup she needed.
Cambria putting Taylor's boutinere on. She's become a pro.
The one and only picture before she left with the crown on. She almost forgot it on the way to the dance and I made her put it on. She immediately took it off after the picture.
*********************************
Both of my girls went to Homecoming. One went as the Homecoming Queen (Which she said, she DID NOT sign up for the crown) So she only allowed me one picture to take of her in the crown. Cecilee, this was her very first high school dance after turning SWEET 16. She had a mixture of feelings -scared, nervous, excited (Because she was going with someone she likes) and not knowing what to expect. She likes dressing up, but not for very long (especially in a long dress) but if you notice her shoes, that's OUR CECILEE. She had a blast as well as our Homecoming Queen. She went with a boy that she grew up with since they were 7. He comes from a very good family who I am very close to. I was excited for the two of them to go together. They have definately grown up since 7. They both went with a group, Cambria's consisted of 10 couples=20 people and Cecilee's group was 5 couples=10 people. They had dinner at one of the kids homes and both were decorated very beautiful. I am so glad that they both had so much fun!!!! It's fun to relive high school again, but of course through my kids. Life is so much FUN~!!!!! I can't believe it's been 25 years since my first Homecoming with my high school sweetheart (Herbie). Dang, Time has truly FLOWN by, but we are having fun flying with it and with our kids.

Cambria performs at Halftime

Right after the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and King, Cam had to hurry out on the field and perform with the cheerleaders. She loves cheering and loves the girls on her squad, they are like sisters.

Cambria was honored to be one of the 6 Senior girls chosen to be voted for Homecoming Queen. She was chosen with 5 other wonderful girls. She had so much fun with Jamaica Alisa, Rachel Wade, Chanelle Ence, Natalie Boren, and Sarah Gunn during the week of Homecoming. There were soooo many fun things planned for the whole school to participate in during the week. Cambria was named Homecoming Queen. She was so much fun to watch that night.

Cecilee Horlacher scored in 88th minute of overtime to give the Warriors a dramatic victory over the Thunder. Whitney Warburton had the assist.
The Warriors improved to 4-1-1 in Region 9 play, and moved into second place. Desert Hills fell to 4-2 in league contests.
"It was a big win," said Snow Canyon coach Paul Kreyling. "The girls played hard the whole game. It was fun."

I had great intentions to clean my house on Labor Day until I received a phone call from my brother and his family to go to the lake. Well, we dropped the mop, left the chairs on the table, started the dishwasher, moved the clothes from the washer to the dryer, put our suits on and walked out of the house. NO NEED to ask us twice. That was the best time. We hadn't been to the lake all summer and were just talking about going just a few days ago. Thank you to my wonderful brother and his beautiful wife. We had so much fun.

Cheer pictures

Cambria's new cheer pictures.

Happy 16th Cecilee!!!

Cecilee turned 16 and it was a school day. She didn't want a party all she wanted was an IPOD touch. Well, if you calculate it, it turns out to come out cheaper. So we went for it. She still had a great day. She went to school and everyone was wishing her "Happy Birthday" and her locker was decorated, thanks to her sister, Cambria.
She had soccer practice after school and then team night. So I bought a birthday cake so that we could all sing to her.
Well, Cecilee is one to always want to have a good time. So, Tori and Cecilee had fun with her birthday cake.
These two are always up to something. Their teammates are always saying that the two of them keep them all laughing.
Cecilee's "Good friend" Trevor came to drop off some presents in our car and one of the mom's saw him and made him come in the backyard and give her the presents in front of all of the other soccer girls.
After team night, Cecilee ran over to her young woman leaders house and she had a cheesecake all ready for Cecilee to sing "Happy Birthday" to her.
After Young Woman's three of her good friends: Brody, Landon and Drew texted her and wanted to take her out on her first date, but she told them that her dad came at lunchtime and took her on her first date. So they came and blindfolded her and took her out on the town.
They kept her blindfolded, pretty much the whole time. They took some pretty fun pictures. This was them when they brought her home. She had a great 16th birthday.
We love Cecilee and are so glad she is part of our family. She is such a good girl and truly "SWEET 16".

It's high school season again and Cecilee is a sophomore and loving soccer season. She is on the girls varsity team and has played Keeper in the last two games and Stopper and Forward in the first game. She is having so much fun with her new teamates. Bryan and I love fall season sports, Soccer and Football. Bring it on. This is what we live for.
