Christmas DAY!!!!

Christmas Eve under the tree.
We still do SANTA gifts for our kids and we LOVE LOVE LOVE that
they continue to come and spend the night at our home on
Christmas Eve!!! I absolutely LOVE that tradition best!
These masks were found in the guys stockings and I think they
kind of liked them!!!
A few Santa Gifts that the girls got:
Cambria got a gardening cart with gardening tools,
Cam & Cec both got Breakfast in Bed sets for their spouses.
Sydnee got a guitar & a disc phone charger.
I made this frame for Cecilee and Angel, it's a gift that I have made
a tradition for my kids that get married.
So it's a heart shaped couple collage with their pictures, that I made & framed.
Cecilee also got a makeup train case.

Christmas Eve Shananigans

Grandma and Grandpa Horlacher called and asked our family to
do a secret santa for a family that they were very close to before
they left. The family was Angel and her twins. Angel's husband
had died a few months ago unexpectedly in surgery.
So Cambria shopped for them and she and I wrapped everything.
Then we all met at Cambria's and delivered the goods.

After we made the delivery of the Secret Santa we came home for our
Christmas Eve dinner: Salmon and Shrimp
Then we decided to start a new tradition since our kids are adults.
So Bryan turned on the heat for the hot tub and we sat in there
and visited and Bryan and Angel started a fire in the pit.
That is going to be a fun family christmas eve tradition.
Then we did our traditional Christmas Eve Pajamas.
The girls wanted to try night shirts and the guys still wanted sports shorts & Tshirts

This was right before we all went to bed to wait for Santa.
Merry Christmas ya'll, we are excited to talk to Trevor tomorrow.

Aunty Marion has Cancer

Our family has been blessed and has't ever had to deal with the C***** Word.
But we received some news a few months ago that our Aunty Marion had Cancer.
We were devastated as a family, but we started to add our prayers to the many
family members and uniting our faith in her behalf.
Well Tia went to go visit her and this was the picture that she sent us.
Our poor Aunty Marion who we love so much and I have had many, many wonderful
memories with her as I was growing up with my Grandma.
One of them was when I was 19 I had a job at David & Margaret Home for girls
and I had my own car but I lived at home. But every weekend I would
leave work on Friday and travel to Torrance to spend the weekend with my
grandma and Aunty Marion.
Every Friday night consisted of Pepperidge Farm Coconut Cake watching
Lawrence Welk and doing exercises with Grandma on the bed.
Then Saturday's we would travel to the graveside of where my grandfather was buried
and spend time there and go visit some of my many Auntys: Laida, Alice, Eleanor, etc.
I loved those times spent with them.
Aunty Marion always gave me such great advice especially when I was going through
my ordeal with my engagement and my mom.
She always told me to love and respect my mom even though I didn't agree
with what she would say.
I love her so much!!

2015 Ornament Tradition

We have another Christmas tradition in our family.
We do Christmas ornaments that represent something about our year.
Bryan's was a whistle for coaching
Cambria's was a chandelier to represent her talent in decorating
Jeff's was a guitar to represent his love of playing the guitar
Cecilee's was hairstyling tools to represent hair school
Angel's was a soccer ball to represent his love for soccer
Sydnee's was a license to represent her getting her license this year.
Then Cam and Cec had an ornament made for me of a missionary mom!!!
I absolutely LOVE this tradition that Bryan and I started with our kids.
It's so fun to see all of the different memories on the Christmas tree.
We have sent Trevor an ornament every year he's been gone, so hopefully
he has them to add to his box of ornaments when he gets home
from his mission.
After our tradition of ornaments our youth in our ward
came around caroling so we all sat outside waiting for them.
It's such a fun tradition as a ward.

Family Pictures

We decided to capture this moment in our family with
Trevor on his mission. Next year we will have Trevor with us!!!!
We can't wait!!!

Lauren Brown is leaving on her mission

Our cute neighbor Lauren Brown received her mission call
to Salta, Argentina.  She came over to say goodbye to our family
and to get her last hug from Sydnee.
Lauren has always been such a good friend to Sydnee and has been such
a great example to her as well.
She is going to be fabulous!!!
