This past week I watched our city get ready for the IRONMAN-St.George that was held on Sat. May 1st!!! Slowly but surely everything was coming together for this huge, exciting event for St. George. THE ACTUAL IRONMAN!!!! These athletes are incredible!!! Barriers were going up everywhere that the trails were going to be. Then all of a sudden, I realized that our neighborhood was right in the middle of it. The street coming into our neighbor hood was one of the trails for the bike ride. We were so excited. It was so fun to see the excitment forming in the city and the support of all of the athletes. I was going to help out up at Unity Park for the Fitness Festival but something MORE important came up (That's another post) and I had to pull out last minute. I was just so excited to see all of the festivities going on around the city. St. George signed a 5 yr. contract, so for the next 4 years they will be hosting the IRONMAN. My son Trevor has been thinking about doing the St. George Marathon, after watching the athletes of the IRONMAN, he told me this morning that he FOR SURE wants to sign up for the marathon in October. So he and Cecilee will be running the marathon with Tia.

MY kids were so excited to go out with me and cheer on the bikers. Some were nice and said,"Thank you" and others were just FOCUSED!!!!
