Lay Off
Today Bryan came home from work and I was on the phone with Cecilee. Bryan walked into the house and I said, "Cec, dad just walked in" she of course wanted to talk to him, so I handed the phone to him. He put some papers on the kitchen table and grabbed the phone and continued to talk to Cecilee. He had a different look on his face, so I was kind of wondering what went on at work. So I went to the kitchen table to look at the papers and I found 4 letters of recommendation, a check and a paper with Cobra Insurance information on it. I was thinking, did he get fired? No he wouldn't have these letters of recommendation. So I walked into the office where he was talking to Cecilee and looked at him and held up the papers and mouthed, "What's this?" he gave me a mad face and motioned for me to go put them back. After his conversation with Cecilee he came out and explained to me that he had been laid off from Rocky Mtn. Foods. He said that he got back from his route and his boss was waiting for him on the dock and asked to speak with him. Bryan asked him, "What did I do?" his boss said, "Nothing" and escorted Bryan into the office where all of the other bosses were waiting. Bryan walked in and said, "I didn't do anything and all of these people are here?" Then the owner stood up and explained that the company is not doing very well and they needed to lay off some drivers and Bryan happened to be one of them. Bryan was shocked, but it didn't hit him until his boss made the comment that his daughter was getting married in December. That's when Bryan said that he felt a lump in his throat and felt like crying. We believe that Heavenly Father knows that Bryan will stay at Rocky Mtn. because there's stability, but he knows that there is another opportunity out there for him that will be better for our family, so we will continue to look and be led and guided. We have been blessed.

I'm just catching up and saw this post. I am so sorry! I remember when Mike was laid off right after the babies got home from the hospital. It was such a hard time but I remember just having faith. I know that you are so faithful and will get through this! We will keep you in our prayers.
