Two Great Families

Becca & Adam
My parents (Clay & Irene) & Hyrum & Gail Smith
Adam & Gail Smith
Karaoke TIME with Nana & Dad

Last night we had a great opportunity to go out to Gunlock and meet the Hyrum & Gail Smith Family. My brother Adam is dating and getting pretty serious with Becca Smith Lemmon. So they felt that it was time that our families meet. We had a wonderful time at their home. We had all 7 of us kids and our children and my parents and grandma which = 32 people and then they had all 5 of their kids and their children & Hyrum and Gail which = 28 people. A grand total of 60 people together under one roof with lots of fun. We had so much fun and so much wonderful food. The Smith's made the Hawaiian Kalua Pork and our family brought all the sidedishes and together we brought dessert. It was soooo good. We then all did Karaoke. We had so much fun, what a wonderful time had by both wonderful families. Adam is so lucky to have found a wonderful girl with a FANTASTIC family.

Welcome Chloe to our Family

We have a new addition to our family. We got another dog, she is a Chaweener (Chawawa-Weener). We named her Chloe. It was so funny, Bryan was looking in the newspaper the other day to find a friend for Bruzer (our other dog, who is a Mini Doberman Pinscher). But of course my husband doesn't want to spend money and buy him a friend. So we were walking into the Pet Store and ran into some people we knew through soccer. They were carrying a little dog and I stopped them to admire the puppy. I asked them how much they spent on their dog and they said that it was given to them but they can't keep her because in their apartment it says, "NO PETS". They had come to the pet store to see if they wanted her to sell, but they said NO and they are going to call a girl and see if she wants her. So I told her, "If it doesn't work out with that little girl, then call our family." When I said that the mom's eyes lit up and said, "You can have her right now, go ahead and take her". So that is how we got Chloe. The kids were all so excited!!! The pet store said that she should be about 10 pounds full grown. Now that's a perfect size dog.

Cambria just got her license!!!

OH My, I am getting OLD!!! I have a child that can drive. I have a lot of mixed feelings about that. It almost feels like when she learned how to ride a bike, BUT it's a little more serious than that. I just let her take the car to go and cash her check by herself!!! She is a very good student and very good driver. What I worry about is the other people driving. Well I will continue to have faith that everything will be good on the road of life with her. I do think that this will be wonderful for me, she will be able to help with rides for our very busy little family and run errands for me. hahaha

We had a wonderful barbeque at my brother Clay's home with fireworks and family. My Nana, my dad's mother, was there and that made it so much more special. She is an amazing women, who is 80 years old and active as ever. My brother said that he took her out on the boat the day before and she was diving off of the boat and swimming in the lake. She is so much fun. I remember as a little girl she would always want to have a jump rope contest with me and my brothers. She would keep up with us all the time. She is still as active as she has always been. I love her so much. What a great tribute on pioneer day to our real life pioneer of our family. Families are so wonderful and I am glad to be part of the one that I belong to.

Braces OFF for Trevor !!!

Trevor finally got his braces off after 2 years of braces and 2 years before that with reversible headgear. He was so funny about wearing his headgear, it would hurt his chin so he would put a sock their and it would hang from his chin. The headgear looked like a catcher's mask. He is loving his teeth. He was driving home with Bryan and Bryan caught him looking at himself in the rearview mirror, trying to get the PERFECT SMILE!!! Bryan couldn't help but laugh histerically.

He of course wanted to whiten just like his sisters and mom. Next kid for braces ***Sydnee***.

They love her so much, she is the 1st grandchild.

Cambria turned 16 on Sunday we had a big family birthday party for her and after dinner we had a ROAST. Everyone in the family shared something special about Cambria. She will be driving legally by the end of the week and probably going on her first date. We love her and are so glad that she's part of our family.

SURPRISE!!!!

We had a surprise party for Cambria on Saturday night for her 16th Birthday. We only invited her close friends and did it real simple, SWIM PARTY!!! She was real excited and had a blast. She said that she knew about the party from a few people, so much for SURPRISE. But she played along real well. The boys of course enjoyed jumping off the wall and throwing splash balls at each other. Chad won the cannonbomb contest.

Cheer Camp

Cambria just got home from cheer camp. Their school won the BIGGEST award, "The Unity" award. She was so excited that there was absolutely NO drama. They all had so much fun and did their best at all of their cheers. She came home so sunburned and exhausted. But she said that it was all worth it!!! She came home and then left for girls camp the next morning for our stake.
