Football & Soccer Season Has Begun

This has got to be one of the funnest times of year for our family. Trevor has started football season and so has Coach Horlacher. Bryan has started coaching Football at Snow Canyon High School. They both love it and we enjoy watching it. With Football comes Cheerleaders and we have one of those too. Cambria will be cheering at the Football games and we can't wait to see her showoff her stuff. She has been working hard with the cheerleaders all summer. She has muscles and bruises to show for it.

Cecilee has also started High School Soccer. She has really enjoyed playing. She really enjoys the girls that are on the team and her coaches. Cecilee has gotten the opportunity to play on the Varsity Team. Being a Freshman that is a big compliment to her skill level and ability to hang with these girls. She is having so much fun. Watching her out on the field, you would never know that she is a Freshman. Sydnee has also started soccer on a competitive team, and she is now being coached by Cecilee and Cambria's old Bombers Coach. He is awesome.

Let the games begin!!!!

My girls AFTER the first day of school

As I said earlier, I forgot to take pictures of my girls before they went to school on the first day, so I remembered when they got home from the first day of school. Cecilee was kind of irritated because Cambria came home so happy and had such a great day. Not that Cecilee didn't have a great day, it just bugs her when Cambria is so happy. So the look on her face says it all. But as you can tell, they love each other. Cambria had Cheer after school, so that is why is not in her outfit that she wore to school, and Cecilee is on her way to Soccer Practice. Maybe, I'll get a picture before school tomorrow. If I remember.

Today was the first day back to school for all of my kids. Of course, my two teenage daughters forgot to let me take a picture of them this morning, because we were trying to decide whether the black flats or flip flops looked better with an outfit, and where are my pom poms, etc. But I did get pictures of Trevor as he was running out of the house to his friends car. And Sydnee, we took to school and I got a picture there with her teacher. Wow, summer is GONE!!! I can't believe how fast that went. Cambria is now a Junior in High School, Cecilee is a Freshman, Trevor is in 7th Grade, and Sydnee is in 4th grade. Time is FLYING by!!!! It's going to be another busy year.

After we got the kids off to school, alot of the mom's in our neighborhood and ward went to breakfast at The Egg and I to celebrate. We had a great time. We had a total of 18 ladies come and party. We had a good time visiting and eating.

This week is usually the busiest, besides the pageant week, being in a City Royalty and being the pageant director. We had alot of assignments at the Washington County Fair. Every night this week the girls spent some time helping at the fair. One night they registered people entering their projects, then they ribboned the items the next night, then on Weds. was the ribbon cutting and the tea party with all of the other Royalties. Then on Thursday and Friday they helped fingerprint kids and then on Saturday was the parade and the Princess review, where they show off their talents. It was a busy week, but the girls sure had a good time. Our float won 3rd place out of all of the other city royalty floats.

A funny thing happend to Cecilee the other day on her way to the fair. All of the girls were in their crowns, banners and matching outfits and they had to stop at the school on their way and pick up their schedules. Well when they walked into the school, a teacher made the comment, "Is this a Joke?" Then the girls explained what they were doing and then another teacher saw Cecilee and said, "CECILEE HORLACHER, are you kidding?" Cecilee told him, "Why do you find this so funny?" Cecilee is known for her incredible soccer skills and athleticism and her class clown attitude. So when he saw her, he was a little taken back. She thought that it was quite funny. She is just a very well rounded girl with more than just her soccer background and beauty.

_________________________________________________________

We pretty much spent the day on Saturday at the Washington County Fair. We had to be there at 2:00 for Cecilee and her royalty to perform their talents till 4:00 and then at 6:00pm my dad was asked to perform for an hour and it was called "The Clay Ah Quin" Show. He was awesome!!! My two sisters danced the hula for a couple of the numbers he sang. We had full family support in the audience. We had a blast. Between the time of Cecilee's performance and my dad's, the kids of course wanted to ride the ride at the Fair. By the time we made it home, they were exhausted!!!

This past Friday was our Patient Appreciation Pool Party. We held it at the new Washington Rec Center. We had ice cream of all kinds and chips, cookies and brownies. We had lots of our patients come with their families and have a fabulous evening. We felt like it was a BIG huge success. During the evening we had an on going drawing every 15 minutes we gave away 4 beach towels that had Simister Orthodontics on it. We had some great winners who were very excited.
