Trevor had another great game, I received text updates from some of the parents during the game and they kept saying how well Trevor was doing. I was so sad that I had to work and couldn't be there, but I am always glad that Bryan is there with him on the sideline!!! Then I received a text from Jen Sargent that read: "The announcer said that he is tired of saying, "Trevor Horlacher #31" after his last interception he said I am just going to say, "GREAT GAME Mr. Horlacher". Hahahaha Then I got on facebook and another parent commented on what the announcer said. I guess Trevor had a good game, Bryan thought that it wasn't that good of a game for Trevor because he made a few mistakes. But the stats show, it was a pretty good game.

Skyping with Major & Legend

These boys come over and always ask for Cec.
So while they were over one day we decided to let them see her and skype.
They were soooo excited!! It was so cute to see them trying to kiss her through the screen and give her hugs and high fives.
Their faces in the pictures say it all!!
They love and miss her so much!!!
Legend kept saying, "Hi Cec!!, Miss you"
Cecilee took this picture from her view of skyping and posted it on Instagram.
I love modern technology!!

Football picture Day!!

My handsome boy getting ready for football pictures with his team!!
The uniform doesn't look as cool without all the pads,
but then you wonder HOW DO THE PADS FIT IN THE UNIFORM,
when they are already form fitting?
Things that make you go, Hummmmm!!!

First Home Game at SCHS

Trevor had his first home game and was amazing, he played like he always does, but finally got to get on the field and show his game. His name was announced at least 10 times on tackles. The student section was even chanting his name, "TREVOR, TREVOR!!!" "THS, THS, THS" and "WE WANT TREVOR!!" (THS means the Trevor Horlacher Show)
The first time he heard them start chanting, he looked like he wanted to crawl under the bench and hide. He is sooo funny!!!

Sydnee Played Goalie

Sydnee played goalie for the first half of her game for the first time ever.
She has watched Cecilee play Goalie and has expressed an interest in playing that position some time,
but with practice, NOT just being called on the day of.
Her coach called and asked her to play Goalie and Sydnee burst into tears.
He came over (Since he lives across the street) to find out why she was so afraid.
She told him that she didn't want to let her team down.
We went through Fear and how that is a part of GROWTH in Life.
Then we brought up about Cecilee going to Kansas and not knowing anyone and playing with girls that she doesn't even know.
"Syd, do you think she was scared?"
She agreed to play the first half and did an amazing job.
Nobody scored off of her. We knew she could do it and do it well!!!
Good job Sydnee!!!

More from Kansas

Cecilee and some of the soccer girls out to dinner
The soccer team on their way to a game, getting on the bus. Cecilee makes friends so easily and all of the girls seem to love her, maybe because she is soooo funny and loves to make everyone laugh.  We miss our girl, but glad she is gaining more experiences with this whole Kansas-Soccer Experience.

Major started Preschool

Look at Major's face before he went to preschool, he was having a little anxiety.
Then Tia picked him up and I would say he loved preschool.

Night Swimming

We happened to have Tia's boys over and of course everytime they come over they want to swim!!
So, it's night time and it's still HOT outside, so why not.
Trevor likes to have a bucket of hot water near the pool, just in case he gets a little chilly.
It's amazing how much fun he could have with a bowl in the pool!!
He wanted me to try and get a picture of the water in the air.
Then he wanted Major to jump through the water in the air.
Major will do anything that Trevor says and he tries to do everything Trevor does.
He thinks that he is Trevor's age, he cracks us up!!!
Legend was just chillin' outside of the pool watching them play.
 Major is FULL of PERSONALITY!!!
I said, "Major look at me and smile" this is the pose that I got!!
Legend is just thawing out from swimming.
 Major and his HAKA face!!!
Then Trevor wanted to see how high he could throw Major, but Major was not enjoying it!!
Cam and Legend taking a walk around the pool.
Lots of fun swimming at night with the boys!!!

"A Drop In The Ocean"

Homecoming is coming up and last year I told Trevor that he will be planning on going to all of the dances and to start thinking of the girls that he wants to take. I told him with him being a boy, It's his responsibility to ask a girl, because they can't go to the dances, unless they are asked.
I've had 2 girls go through high school dances, and were fortunate that they didn't miss many dances, but I always felt bad for the other girls that didn't get asked.
And then hearing that the boys didn't want to waste their money, etc.
So this is Trevor's first dance that he gets to ask a girl.
So the theme of Homecoming is a Beach theme with "A Drop in The Ocean"
So I decided to do a sand bucket with sand and hide Trevor's name on Sanddollars for her to dig and find. Then put flip flops and cookies in the bucket.

We added cookies to hold the card in the sand bucket.   Trevor was at Priesthood Meeting and so me and the girls put it together for Trevor. He got home and we made him go and make the delivery. He is just so easy going and trust me and his sisters to help him with these upcoming dances.  Trevor is going to get braver and braver with his asking, but tonight he ran it over and rang the doorbell, and ran back to our house. (Good thing she lives across the street)
Her mom sent me a picture of her after she dug and found Trevor's name.
She has her flip flops on and her bucket.

Baird Concert Coming UP

This concert that KALAMITY and KAOS are participating in is coming up this Saturday.
It's an incredible story:
Ashley Baird was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer on January 12th 2012. She is the mother of four amazing boys and one beautiful little girl. She has a very rare form of breast cancer and she has been fighting for her life with a smile on her face. Her positive attitude is astounding.

Life has seemed to challenge the Baird family this year. Last week, Chad Baird, Ashley's husband, was diagnosed with Melanoma skin cancer. It shocked all of us however, the Bairds already had on their fighting gloves -- this isn’t going to change anything. Now they will just fight for two causes instead of one.

The “Ashley Baird Benefit Concert” has gone from her name to now the “Baird Family Benefit Concert” in just a mere six month timeframe. The benefit concert will take place on;

August 18th 2012 @ Dixie High School

Featuring the TOP dance teams, singers, and entertainment in Southern Utah. We appreciate any & all contributions towards the event. We are hoping by your generous contributions we will be able to ease the burden off of the Baird family.

First Day of School 2012

Trevor and Sydnee on their FRIST DAY of School.
We had quite the crazy morning, totally unexpected OF COURSE.
In my mind ~ I have everything figured out and how I want it to run,
but UNEXPECTED things mess up my idea of perfection.
We had Father's Blessings this morning, but didn't realize it would have to wait until
AFTER Football practice at 6:30am (THE UNEXPECTED)
So, Bryan made the kids Chocolate Chip Pancakes and Bacon.
We had blessings and breakfast and family prayer!
Sydnee asked me yesterday if I was going to take her to school on the first day.
I looked at her a little perplexed, because I haven't taken any of my kids to middle school on the first day. They all thought that they were tooo cool.
So I told her, "If you want me to."
So she comes into the family room and said, "Mom the Hurts will come and pick us up and you &
Shellie will take me and Aspen to school and walk us into the school."
So that is exactly what we did.
They were soooo cute, they we so excited to have us walking them into the school.
We got lots of different looks, but we were just soaking it all in.
As soon as we walked into the school it was pure CHAOS!!!
Kids everywhere!!!
Then all of the sudden all of the girls from our neighborhood came and started giving hugs.
It was sooo cute.
(Lt to Rt.: Jamie Brown, Ina Fakahua, Sydnee, Abby Kunde, Kenna Evans, Jacquel Bozarth & Aspen Hurt)
I am so glad that they are alll together again!!!
We also started a LUNCH BUNCH with some of the kids from the neighborhood.
Each mom takes a day and these kids come home to eat.
I have Wednesday's and I absolutely love it!!!

End of Summer Party

Sydnee wanted to do just what her older siblings have always done and
have a END OF SUMMER pool party on the last day of summer before school starts!!
She had 20 kids there and LOTS of splashing, diving, laughing, eating and FUN!!!
One of their friends broke his Femur a few days before the party.
He wanted out of his house so he came to watch the kids.
The kids were so excited to have him there.
The boys jumped off the wall into the pool trying to impress the girls.
We played underwater soccer with a watermelon.
These were the two teams

Lots of food and fun for all of the friends!!
