Major got his tonsils out, so Cecilee and I went to take him a giant popsicle and a balloon. He felt miserable and it shows in his little picture. He will be able to sleep so much better and breath at night. We love this little guy so much!!!

******************************
Today was the day that we had been looking forward to so that Cecilee could start the healing process. It's been quite a long 11 days. With this day here, Cecilee is that much closer to getting her life back on the soccer field. She is so excited but at the same time, sooo scared. She has no idea what he is going to find when he gets in there. There have been alot of prayers and fasting in her behalf, as well as for the Dr. So we are NOT worried at all, we know that she will be in the Lord's Hands and he will take care of her and the Doctor.
Well we got there at 6:30am and there was absolutely NOBODY in the hospital, of course it's a HOLIDAY. So we walked around trying to find where we were suppose to be, people were sending us back and forth. Finally I called the Dr and he said go to the patient room area. We were told NOT to go their because she's not a patient yet. So we get there and they are all so nice and get her going, changing into her beautiful fashionable gown, and getting her into her bed. They wheel her up to the Operating Room and we sit with her and wait. They needed to take a pregnancy test before they give her anesthesia, so it took a little longer before surgery to wait for the results.
Surgery started at 8:00am and we were told that it would be about 45 minutes to 2 hours. Well, we waited and waited and waited and at about 10:35am a nurse comes out and tells us that the surgery is going great, BUT it turned out to be a little more complicated than he thought. And then she left. So we waited some more. Then at about 11:30am the Dr. came out and he showed us some pictures and explained everything. He said that her ACL was fine, no tears or anything but 3 broken bones.

My college student

Cambria has started college and is taking 16 credits and so far is totally confused, but having a great time. She applied for financial aid and was disappointed that she didn't get a grant, but was approved for a loan. We have NO idea how this college thing works. So we just go for it and keep plugging along. She is working towards becoming a Dental Hygenist. I am so proud of her and her ambition.

Funniest Wheelchair story!!!!

I figured I would blog this because we will forget in about a year and I want to remember this:

Well Cecilee always thinks that she has the worst luck ever. If anything bad is going to happen, it usually happens to her. Well she has been using a wheelchair for the last week, and so on her first day at the SCHS football game, we wheel her in and she is sitting in her wheelchair and all of the sudden we hear a load gunshot noise and it comes from Cecilee's wheelchair. She looks around and her tire blew out. (The owner of the wheelchair said that it was an old, worn out tire), so Cecilee laughs and says, "OF COURSE, this would happen to me". Well we get a new tire and she rides the wheelchair to school and as she is going down the hall, the opposite tire STOPS dead in its tracks. So she starts going in a circle. The other tire works perfectly fine, but the other one is stuck. She is in the hallway at school doing BRODIES!!! hahhahaha. The stud of the football team comes running past and says, "Cecilee, are you OK, do you need help?" She said, "Do you know how to fix a wheelchair?" He tried but NO LUCK!!! A teacher heard them in the hall working on the wheelchair and went and got her the school's wheelchair. So Cecilee is so use to here luck that she just smiles and says, "OF COURSE THIS IS MY LUCK!!!!"

Physical Therapy

Cecilee started physical therapy with our neighbor Jane Hugunin, to get ready for surgery. The Dr. wanted her stiffness and swelling to go down before he could operate, so Cecilee went for the first time on her birthday. Jane had a balloon and some treats there waiting on her bed to wish her a happy birthday. She heated and ultrasounded and massaged her knee to help with the swelling. Then the pain started. She was moving and pressing and making her leg do things that she normally did, but took for granted. Now she has to help it do those things and it hurts like crazy for her. Her little face was so sad, she was in so much pain, but she knows that pain brings results.
While we were there, the girl that was helping Cecilee with her ultrasound, who is pictured was listening to Cecilee tell here story of how she got hurt and she said, "Was it in Cedar? You were playing Canyon View?" Cecilee said, "Yes". She said, "I was there, I saw you score twice and I saw you go down." What a small world. We had to make sure that the goalie wasn't her sister or friend.
Jane working on Cecilee's knee, trying to get more range of motion.
This was the next morning, still working on getting more range of motion. There was the look of so much pain on her face.
Cecilee's first time on the bike. It was a little painful at first, then she got the hang of it.
At this time, the same girl told Cecilee that she was at the game with her dad and he came up to Cecilee while she was in the suburban leaving and looked at her knee. She said,"My dad's name is MUCHI" I totally know who he is, he TOTALLY knows soccer. What a small world!!!
