Major is 1 year old

Whenever Trevor goes outside with the dogs, Major runs from where he is and follows Trevor outside. Cecilee got this picture of the two of them talking on the swing. They had NO idea this picture was being taken.
They are watching the dogs and Major is talking to Trevor.
He is such a HAM. HE loves having his shirt off and he loves his dads wristband. Tia took it off of him to take off his shirt and he had a fit and wanted it back on.
He loves Trevor.
Look at this cute FACE!!!!
******************
Major turned 1 on October 6th, he doesn't look 1, he looks 2. He is so much fun to have around. He loves our family so much, I think he thinks the kids are his brother and sister's. They love him so much. He and Trevor have a special bond. Everytime he sees Trevor he gets excited and points to him, that's his way of telling Trevor, "I WANT YOU." Trevor is so cute with Major.

HALLOWEEN at school

My biker son
He's TRYING to be so HARD and mean.
Cambria and Cecilee dressed up as NERDS.
They came with me to Sydnee's school Halloween parade.
Sydnee and Aspen wanted to be Gorillas.

"Will you..."

Cecilee and Connor Livingston - they have been friends since they were 4.
Cecilee on bended knee. I am firing the photographer. hahaha
Cambria on bended knee, PURPOSING to JP Neilson.
*********************
My girls had to find some guys to ask to Sadies coming up on November 23rd. They wanted something fast, easy and not a whole bunch of work, so I told them to get "RING POP's" and PURPOSE to them on bended knee. Cambria did hers on the front porch in front of his family. And Cecilee was brought into the kitchen and she PURPOSED in front of the family also. The boys they asked are such good boys and they know that they WILL have alot of fun with them.

Avenna Maugatula Smith AhQuin is here

Sydnee got the wonderful opportunity to hold Avenna.

Look at this beautiful little face, straight from heaven. She looks just like her daddy.

Becca is such a cute mom, what is she going to do with a girl? Spoil her!!!
They stopped by our house when she was a few days old, on their way back from the Dr. She stayed put in the car, but I had to get a picture. Thanks Josh for propping her head up.
***********************
On October 13th my brother Adam and his beautiful wife, Becca had their bundle of heaven. She was 6lb. 14oz and just beautiful!!! Because of the Swine Flu scare at the hospital they had a new policy that only 2 people per patient can be at the hospital. So we had to stay put away from the hospital. They wouldn't even let my dad come into the hospital to give Adam some food. I guess it can be a good thing, to keep everyone safe. We are so excited for Adam, Becca, Devan and Josh!!!!

The Husband Store

This was sent to me by my brother and I just laughed my head off:
*********************
A store that sells new husbands has opened in New York City , where a woman may go to choose a husband.
Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:

You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights. The shopper may choose any item from a particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband.
On the first floor the sign on the door reads:
Floor 1 - These men Have Jobs. She is intrigued, but continues to the second floor, where the sign reads:
Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love Kids. 'That's nice,' she thinks, 'but I want more.' So she continues upward. The third floor sign reads:
Floor 3 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, and are Extremely Good Looking. 'Wow,' she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going. She goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads:
Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Good Looking and Help With Housework. 'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!' Still, she goes to the fifth floor and the sign reads:
Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Gorgeous, Help with Housework, and Have a Strong Romantic Streak. She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor, where the sign reads:
Floor 6 - You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor.
This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please.
Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.
PLEASE NOTE:To avoid gender bias charges, the store's owner opened a New Wives store just across the street.
The first floor has wives that love sex.
The second floor has wives that love sex and have money and like beer.
The third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors have never been visited.

I celebrated 40 years!!!

My wonderful family planned a surprise party for me for my 40th birthday. The theme of the party was OLD, everyone came dressed as OLD people. It was hilarious to watch all of my friends and family play their roles. Bryan and I had gone to a wedding reception of a friend in the ward and neighborhood and I saw all of my friends there. We came home and they were all there to yell surprise.

State Game in Lehi

My wonderful cousins came to support Cecilee during her game.
Victoria & Dominique, Marion, Koki & kids, Irene & her clan
Me and Toria & Irene after the game.
My two ALL STARS!!!
We played Lehi for another leg of the State Title, but we lost. We didn't get BEAT, we lost. We happened to score on ourselves by a deflection. It happened in the last 7 minutes of the game. It could've been ours, but they played like champions. They were awesome. The other team was quite a bit bigger and probably older. We had a great time watching the girls play. I have alot of family up in Northern Utah and it was so sweet of some of them to come and support Cecilee. I sure love my family. Thank you for supporting her.

The Spectrum Article (10-14-2009)

Turning the corner

ST. GEORGE - In years past, the Snow Canyon girls' soccer program rarely carried the notoriety of a winner.

So when Ken Kunde took over the reigns eight seasons ago, the rebuilding phase officially began.
Although it took time, familiar losing campaigns - like a forgettable 3-10 mark in 2001 - are now a thing of the past.
The Warriors have turned the corner, reeling off three straight .500 or better seasons, with this year's 9-4-3 mark this decade's best finish, and Tuesday's 1-0 first round win over Maple Mountain in the first round of the 4A state playoffs is another stepping stone.
"We're very pleased with where our program's at," Kunde said. "The girls' work ethic is probably one of the biggest differences ... They work so hard in the offseason to be ready for games like these."
The Warriors' sideline leader added the team has helped better prepare up-and-coming players from the community. Thus, when they arrive to play varsity ball, they're not overwhelmed.
No better example than sophomore Cecilee Horlacher who kicked in the game-winning goal with 1:54 left to play in the first half.
The midfielder doesn't look like an underclassman, nor does her play on the field. On the game-winning kick, Horlacher showed poise and control.
Senior and team leader Liz Ricks took ball possession into Maple Mountain territory down the left sideline. Horlacher - with just three goals on the season prior - then spaced herself, spun away from her defender, and proceeded towards the penalty box.
The crisp pass left the sophomore one-on-one with Golden Eagles goalkeeper Kara Betts, where eventually the ball had enough zip to go underneath her block attempt.
"It's really exciting," said Horlacher of her first playoff goal. "We expected them (Maple Mountain) to be very good, like any playoff team. But we came in focused, aggressive, and wanting the win."
Snow Canyon controlled the ball and tempo for most of the contest, which is critical against a Golden Eagles offense that came in averaging 3.6 goals per game.
Although standout forward Baylee Nielsen put fear into the Warriors defense with physical play and a never-quit attitude, she rarely had clean looks at the goal.
Warriors goal-keeper Kylie Moore earned the shutout.
The win marks Snow Canyon's first postseason win since 2006. They will hope to keep it going against either Lehi or Olympus on Thursday.

SCHS won our game against Maple Mountain!!!

Hooray, our team won and we are moving on. We will be playing on Thursday against Olympus or Lehi, we are waiting to find out. IF we play Lehi, we go up there, if we play Olympus we play here. The girls played pretty good, I've seen better games, but we got one in and we won, so we'll take it. Cecilee scored the point and should've gotten at least 2 others in, but field goals don't count. I was very proud of her and the newspaper interviewed her after the game. I lost my camera bag on Saturday, which had my videocamera and camera in it, so it's like I LOST a LUNG!!!! I can barely function without a camera. So I don't even have a picture of her on the field talking to the newspaper reporter, DANGIT!!

Our Soccer Player in Action

This series of pictures is hilarious, it's from the Dixie game that they played in Sept. She is a little aggressive, but who isn't when they play soccer. You have to be if you want to score.
OOPPS!!!! She knocked the ball out of the goalie's hands and the goalie bumped her own player.
"OOPS, Did she do that?" Well her focus is on the ball in the far right side of the picture.
She shoots and she SCORED!!!!
These are some pictures that were taken by a professional photographer at one of Cecilee's games. She is a fun little player to watch. Of course there is a whole team of girls that are also on the field with her but of course, being the mother, I bought the pictures of my soccer player.

SCHS Girls Soccer Team is Playing for STATE!!!!

Our girls are playing for state starting today. They play Maple Mountain at 4:00 today. The girls have come a long way. They have become a soccer family and play together and know each other really well on the soccer field. Today they have got to come together and win. I am so proud of my daughter Cecilee and the little athlete that she is. I have enjoyed watchign her grow up in the sport of soccer. She is incredible and has learned so much from all of the different coaches that have coached her. Her dad was her very first coach from the time she was 4 when she started playing and he still coaches her. He is the first one to tell her if she had a good game or if there is something he saw that she needs to work on. I remember watching her as a little girl and Bryan coaching from the side and sometimes watching her cry because Bryan is yelling at her, telling her that,"Soccer is a RUNNING sport, get running!!!" She did NOT like running. She has definately matured since then. I want Cecilee to know how much I love her and how proud I am of her as her mother. (Since this is MY blog, I can). I have enjoyed watching her mature and grow up into this beautiful young woman who keeps her standards high and plays with integrity and dignity. I love you Cec, and play your heart out and WIN today.

Big Boys NEVER grow UP

Bryan playing football with the boys, but still playing coach with the whistle in his mouth. Love the visor, he thinks he's so cool.

Bryan and Andy coaching the boys. Major loves to tag along with the big boys and thinks that he's one of the boys.
Bryan and Major coaching the team.
***************
My husband and Tia's husband have been coaching Trevor's 8th grade football team. These are some pictures that Tia took at one of the practices. At the end of the practice, Bryan and Andy take time and play with the boys. Major loves football and loves helping coach.

It's that time of year again!!!

Me and my ever growing family. We try and be festive and dress up with a theme. Not quite sure what we are going to do this year. We will see.
One of the MANY fun families in our neighborhood. We ALWAYS look forward to her fun costumes for her adorable family.
This is taken from my front door.
This is the soup table
******************************
For the last 4 years we have started a Halloween tradition with our neighborhood. We close off the streets and set up tables and chairs and everyone pitches in and brings soups, rolls, hot dogs, cupcakes, apple cider, homemade rootbeer, etc. We enjoy feeding the kids and ourselves and visiting with the neighbors. We also have 2 bounce houses and a movie outside and popcorn. After eating and visiting everyone takes their kids around the neighborhood and trick or treat, then whoever wants to come back and watch a movie and have popcorn. This year with it being on a Saturday and no work the next day & it's DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME (so we gain an hour), we may add a few more activities. We have a great neighborhood and the kids look forward to this tradition. I started putting together the invitations and will start delivering tomorrow. I love this time of year and the changing of the seasons, bring on FALL.

Cambria's Homecoming Picture

St. George Marathon

All of us at the top of Snow Canyon after seeing and cheering Tia on.
Tia and Andy right after coming through the finish line.
Our marathon runner - Tia and all her Leis.
All of us with Tia.
Tia and her siblings that were there to cheer her on. We missed Mom, Clay, (both in California), Max (football game), Adam (Wife very pregnant).
****************
October 3rd, 2009 Tia ran the St. George Marathon. We as a family gathered to support her and cheer on all of the runners, especially Tia. My dad came with us and this was his first time being on the other end of the marathon. Usually he is one of the runners, for ten years in a row (1995-2005) he ran and our family had it down. We would all gather at my house in Ivins and go up to Snow Canyon and wait for him to come through and then dash on down to Bluff St. Park and cheer there and run down to the finish line. So my dad comes and starts trying to tell us when we should go and where, etc. I told him, "Dad, we are pro's at this marathon thing, you just sit back and enjoy the ride and we will show you what we did for 10 years watching you." He justed laughed, he realized we knew what we were doing and it's true, he's never been on this side of the marathon. He was amazed. He didn't know what we went through to get up there to see him. We made it to the first stop and walked a little ways to get up there, we were there for maybe 20 minutes and Tia came through. We were so excited to see her. She looked so good. I was so proud of her. Then we all hurried and made it to our cars and ran down to the finish line. Andy missed her up at Snow Canyon and was NOT a happy camper. I felt bad for Tia, because when she saw all of us, the main person she was looking for want' there. The stupid rangers wouldn't let Andy come up with his car any further, so he missed her. He did see her at the 25 mile marker and ran with her into the finish line. They are such a cute couple. He loves her so much and it shows in everything he does for her. We all met them at the finish line and covered her in candy leis.
