UTAH vs Colorado Game

Saturday is GAME DAY and we rode the trax to the stadium and are headed to the
UTE WALK to see the team, cheerleaders and band all walk into the Stadium.
It's so much fun to watch the team arrive on the buses and a police escort.
The sidewalk is lined with fans, parents, cheerleaders, dancers, band members, etc. to
cheer on the football players. (The only player that walk in the UTE WALK is the ones that
are dressing in a uniform) It's quite the honor for these football players.
Trevor got to be a part of the UTE WALK for all 12 games!
I am so proud of my boy!!!
We enjoy all of the parents that we get to rub shoulders with and cheer on our boys.
This couple is Nick Heniger's parents.

This is the football facility, pretty much where Trevor lives during football season.
He is there for practices, meetings, film, meals, etc.
I love walking through there knowing that it's my sons safe haven.
These 2 mom's with me are Nick Heniger's mom and Shawn Hansen's Mom.
The two guys Trevor walked on with.

Football mom's with their boys:
Donna & Nick , Me and Trevor, Shawn & Shelly
We love our boys more than they will ever know.
Trevor and Kylee took a picture with Conner Haller & his girlfriend.
All 4 of these boys were walk ons together at UTAH

Kylee is somewhere in this crowd visiting her aunt and uncle during half-time.

Scary News from Dr. about Mia's PKU test

This morning Cecilee came downstairs holding Mia and she looked at me and said, "Mom the Dr. just called and said that Mia's PKU test came back Abnormal and he wanted to see me sometime today to discuss it. Her face was so concerned but not crying when telling me, so I felt like I needed to keep calm and reassure her that everything was going to be alright. I looked it up and it said, "It could cause seizures or severe mental retardation" we both were worried, but I suggested that we kneel and ask Heavenly Father for comfort and to help the Dr's and those reading her test to make sure it's true. We knelt in the family room and I offered the prayer and started to cry and plead to my Heavenly Father in behalf of my sweet daughter, Cecilee and granddaughter Mia. "Please Heavenly Father let it be they will".  Cecilee was scheduled to go to work today and ended up canceling her appointments. Her first appointment was Tia, so within a few minutes of canceling her appointment, Tia showed up to give Cecilee a hug and just be here with her to help give comfort. It was such a sweet gesture for her to come and just be here, it helped calm Cecilee down. I then texted each one of my kids and asked them to please pray for Mia and the Dr's and explained what happened this morning. They were all so worried and definitely united our faith and prayers together. I called Bryan and his first response was, "How is Cecilee?" well within 15 minutes Bryan walked into the house and came right to Cecilee and gave her a huge hug and kissed Mia on the forehead. He then said, "Cec lets give her a blessing". It made my heart swell with so much love for my husband to watch him use his priesthood and want to bless his granddaughter at this time of need. His hands were so big on her little head but his words and prayer to our Heavenly Father was truly felt. I fell more in love with my husband watching him use his priesthood.

Cecilee went to the Dr. at 12:40pm and Cambria was so sweet, she met her there at the office so she wouldn't be there by herself because Angel couldn't leave work. They waited for an hour and 15 minutes then the Dr came in and told them that she is a carrier of Sickle Cell Disease and that in her future when she decides to marry she needs to make sure that her husband isn't a carrier as well because their children would die. Cecilee couldn't believe what she was hearing and asked him about what we found on the internet and he said, "Oh that is not Mia, we find out lots of different information from this test, this is what we found out, she is perfect-just be aware that she is a carrier.
OH MY GOODNESS, thank goodness it wasn't what we were thinking. Thank you Heavenly Father. We love our little Mia.

Thanksgiving weekend - Thursday & Friday

We wanted to go up to Salt Lake and spend Thanksgiving with Trevor
because last year he spent it by himself and I didn't want that to happen again, so we
got a couple hotel rooms and we decided that we would make a weekend of it since he had
his last game on Saturday. Well we drove up on Thanksgiving morning and were invited by
Marion and Irene to come and have Thanksgiving with their family at Irene's house.
So we went there and spent the day having fun with them and their families.
I was so grateful that Trevor got a chance to spend some time talking with Uncle Sale who
of course reminds all of us of my dad. Trevor got to share a lot about football and his experience with UTAH and receive some great advice from Uncle Sale. We then went to the church and played
chair soccer which was so much fun!!!
It was so good to be with Aunty Joyce and Uncle Sale. They have always been like 2nd parents to me & my siblings. We were all raised together so it felt like being home having Thanksgiving with them.

Then next day was Black Friday so we wanted to go up to Park City and shop at their outlet
stores. I knew that Clay and his family were up there so we wanted to surprise them and stop
in and see them. It was so good to see them and feel like family together again.
They were with Julee's family having a fun weekend together.

After visiting Clay and going shopping we decided we wanted to go to Temple Square
and see the lights!!! Well us and all of the visitors in Salt Lake were there, because the people
that live there know, NOT TO GO until later in the season.
It was beautiful!!!

After the lights at the temple we went the the Underground Pie Pizza near the University.
It was kinda cool, it kinda felt like a bar.
The pizza was 27" huge and delicious!

After that we went to see Trevor at the Hotel that the team was staying at before the game.
We went and visited with him for about an hour and he was not having a very good night.
When he came up we could tell he was not happy, we asked him how he was feeling and he
said that his hip was killing him, he hurt his hip flexor and his coach
Justin Ena didn't believe that he was hurt and told him he was lying. Trevor gets offended easily
because he would never lie about anything like that and he would never call someone a liar.
He was broken hearted because this coach seems to not like Trevor and is so mean to him all
of the time. He just didn't feel like he was at 100% and didn't want to let his team down.
I just wish this coach would see Trevor for who he is and accept him, he is such a great person
who is humble, hardworking and loyal. He would be such a great asset to the team.
We left Trevor and told him to go right to bed and say your prayers and so will we, tomorrow
will be a better day.
These 3 guys all came into UTAH together from returning from their missions and
walked on the same time. They have continued to be together these last 2 years.

Bryan was trying to help Trevor feel better by sharing some of his experiences.
He has worked so hard and continues to work hard.
We are so proud of him!

Hungry little Mia

Cambria came over to make pies with me and Mia needed
a bottle. So I was showing her how to keep her propped up so she
doesn't choke on her milk. She looked like a little big kid eating.
This baby just cracks us up!!!

Christmas Presents

Guess what my children asked me for, for Christmas?
A recipe book of all my recipes that I have collected and made
for them through the years!!
At first I was thinking, "that will be easy, I don't have very many"
OH MY GOODNESS, there are more than I thought!
I keep thinking, "do I really cook this many different recipes?"
I hope they enjoy it!
It's funny because looking at these recipes, all on different pieces of paper,
envelopes, cards, etc. That's how I would find each recipe, because
I remembered what each of them were written on.

Grandpa loves his Mia Time

There is NOTHING sweeter than watching my husband with his
grandbaby! He loves loves loves her and love talking
and singing to her just like he did when we had our babies.
I love her face just looking at him with love.

Grandma duty!

Cecilee went back to work today and I get the privileged of watching
Mia. I could only imagine how Cecilee's little mama heart is breaking.
Hopefully, it helps to know that her mom is watching her baby &
that I won't let anything happen to her.
This little sweetheart is just a piece of heaven!
I am loving this grandma job!!
