Bryan received a call from the secretary from Saint George state president.
He said that he was looking for brother Horlacher. Bryan Told him that he was probably looking for his dad Richard Horlacher because he lives in that Stake. He then asked him if his stake president was Kevin Smith and he said yes and he told him then you are the brother Horlacher that We are looking for. He then set up an appointment for Bryan and told him to bring his wife. (That’s never a good sign) When we got there to the meeting he asked Bryan to be the second counselor in the mid-singles Saint George Ward. We were both blown away and kind of surprised.
It’s funny because the week before that Bryan and I were driving home from somewhere and we were both feeling like we had no purpose in our ward and in our neighborhood. Because we didn’t have any children at home anymore and not really any callings so this came at a time where we know that this is where heavenly father wants us and we are so excited to serve. It almost feels like We are on a mission together.
The bishop is Grant Needham and the first counselor is Jim Mills
