The morning we went to Disneyland, Angel said that he went to go get donuts for Mia's birthday breakfast and he felt like his body was out of sort and of balance. Before they came to California his hands and feet felt numb so he had some blood tests done and went to see a chiropractor. Well we got ready to go and Angel's hands were cold and numb he was wearing gloves and a sweatshirt and you could tell he wasn't feeling very good. Cambria had rented a jazzy to ride on through the day since she is still recovering from her surgery. She recognized that Angel wasn't feeling his best so she asked him to drive it around for a while since she couldn't drive it with a child on her chest. He rode around and looking at Angel you could totally tell something wasn't right. We continued through the day and he called his Dr in St.George to let her know what his symptoms were and she told him to go straight to the ER to have a brain scan. He asked her to repeat what she just told him to his mother-in-law, ME. Cecilee was on a ride with the kids. So as she came back Angel shared with her what the Dr. just told him and she was so strong and they said goodbye to the kids and she helped him walk to the car. I called Shelly Hansen and she told me to have him go to her hospital because she has the best Neurologist and Internal Covid Medicine Dr. she will have them there waiting for him. Before they left we gathered as a family and had a prayer for Angel and the Drs. The spirit was amazing in the middle of Disneyland.
Bryan and I kept the kids and we were so sad for Angel and Cecilee. I was so proud of my girl and the wife that she is and how strong she was for Angel.
They were in the hospital all night and Cecilee came back to the hotel and Angel stayed in the hospital.
We traveled home and the night we got home he ended up going to the ER in St. George again. He started feeling like his stomach area was tight and numb so we didn't want him to take any chances so Sydnee stayed the night with the kids and Cecilee took him to the ER.
As Angel was saying his goodbye's it made me cry, listening to him hug Bryan and whisper in his ear, "Dad please take care of my family." Then him hugging Mia and telling her, "Mia be a good girl OK"
He then hugged me and said, "Thanks mom for being the best mom and grandma".
My heart was broken and we continued to ask the family and everyone to pray for Angel.
We had spoken to a friend of Angel's who he worked with at Liahona who had these same symptoms and was diagnosed with GBS-Guillian Barre Syndrone so his symptoms sounded a lot like his. He went into the hospital asking for a Spinal Tap to rule that out.
