We wanted to go up to Salt Lake and spend Thanksgiving with Trevor
because last year he spent it by himself and I didn't want that to happen again, so we
got a couple hotel rooms and we decided that we would make a weekend of it since he had
his last game on Saturday. Well we drove up on Thanksgiving morning and were invited by
Marion and Irene to come and have Thanksgiving with their family at Irene's house.
So we went there and spent the day having fun with them and their families.
I was so grateful that Trevor got a chance to spend some time talking with Uncle Sale who
of course reminds all of us of my dad. Trevor got to share a lot about football and his experience with UTAH and receive some great advice from Uncle Sale. We then went to the church and played
chair soccer which was so much fun!!!
It was so good to be with Aunty Joyce and Uncle Sale. They have always been like 2nd parents to me & my siblings. We were all raised together so it felt like being home having Thanksgiving with them.
Then next day was Black Friday so we wanted to go up to Park City and shop at their outlet
stores. I knew that Clay and his family were up there so we wanted to surprise them and stop
in and see them. It was so good to see them and feel like family together again.
They were with Julee's family having a fun weekend together.
After visiting Clay and going shopping we decided we wanted to go to Temple Square
and see the lights!!! Well us and all of the visitors in Salt Lake were there, because the people
that live there know, NOT TO GO until later in the season.
It was beautiful!!!
After the lights at the temple we went the the Underground Pie Pizza near the University.
It was kinda cool, it kinda felt like a bar.
The pizza was 27" huge and delicious!
After that we went to see Trevor at the Hotel that the team was staying at before the game.
We went and visited with him for about an hour and he was not having a very good night.
When he came up we could tell he was not happy, we asked him how he was feeling and he
said that his hip was killing him, he hurt his hip flexor and his coach
Justin Ena didn't believe that he was hurt and told him he was lying. Trevor gets offended easily
because he would never lie about anything like that and he would never call someone a liar.
He was broken hearted because this coach seems to not like Trevor and is so mean to him all
of the time. He just didn't feel like he was at 100% and didn't want to let his team down.
I just wish this coach would see Trevor for who he is and accept him, he is such a great person
who is humble, hardworking and loyal. He would be such a great asset to the team.
We left Trevor and told him to go right to bed and say your prayers and so will we, tomorrow
will be a better day.
These 3 guys all came into UTAH together from returning from their missions and
walked on the same time. They have continued to be together these last 2 years.
Bryan was trying to help Trevor feel better by sharing some of his experiences.
He has worked so hard and continues to work hard.
We are so proud of him!
