Cecilee's Countdown
Jaden (Miss Congeniality), Cecilee (2nd Attendant), Abbey (1st Attendant), Jaycee (Princess)
We did headshots for the program and the entry table.
(Notice she is not wearing CONVERSE, she even wore heels in her dress.)
*****************************
Cecilee is just one week away from being done with her reign in the City Royalty. It has been a great experience for her and she had a great royalty to share it with. She already knew all of the girls in the royalty, but she was able to get to know them alot better. They have shared alot of laughes, good times, waves on the float at the parades, etc. She is excited for the upcoming royalty and know that they will have a great year and experience as well.

Senior Ball-Last Dance of the Year
*********
Today was Senior Ball for the high school, so the boys came and picked up the girls at 7:30am to go Quad Riding with their group. They had about 6 couples and they all brought their own off road vehicles. They went out toward Zions (Mt. Carmel Jct.) area and rode for a while. Cambria said they went to eat at that place in Mt. Carmel Jct. and she had the MoSt AmAzInG cheese burger ever and Paula said that the grilled cheese was even MoRe AmAzInG. You can tell my girls love food. They then brought them home and they got ready and were picked up at 6:00pm. They then met their group in an alley and a portrait studio for pictures. They were going to eat at Olive Garden and then the dance is at the Bell Tower. Afterwards they plan on going swimming at one of the boys homes. What a long day full of fun. To be young again. I don't ever remember spending the whole day with my date for a dance, you would think that by the dance it could backfire and you could get tired of them. It's a whole new generation.

Blitz Football Game
Easter Weekend
We had a great weekend, but very very busy. Sunday morning we remembered that we didn't dye eggs, (I hate doing that)but with Paula living with us, we wanted to give her the full easter experience. So we dyed eggs before church and then after church we went to Hurricane and had our annual easter egg hunt at my parents home. The kids love hunting for eggs. This was the first year that Adam and Tia didn't participate in the egg hunt. They are grown-ups now with being married & kids.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
We received the most awesome news on Easter. Becca and Adam's boys had shirts on that said, "I know something you don't know" on the front and on the back it said, "I'm going to be a BIG BROTHER!" And Adam was sporting a shirt that said "Daddy, 09" I am soooo excited for their family. Becca is 11 weeks and her due date is November 2nd. What a great way to bring in the holiday season. I love them so much and am so excited for them.
Easter Egg Hunt
The Royalty helped with the Easter Egg Hunt for the Community. The princesses were in charge of putting all of the eggs on the field for the hunt. It was so cold and rainy, I think everyone that came to the hunt thought that they were going to be the only ones, because of the rain, but there were a lot of people. We even did the ADULT easter egg hunt.

Count Down to Miss Ivins Pageant
We are on the count down to the Miss Ivins Pageant on May 2nd. Every Saturday we have workshops to help the girls get ready for this endeavor. This past Saturday I had 4 wonderful ladies come and share their expertise. My sister-in-law Sunshine worked with the girls on Poise and Presentation and how to walk in heels. My sister Tia has choreographed the opening number and has been working with the girls on that. Melinda Pectol from our ward showed the girls how to put make-up on for the stage, and Leanne Kemp from my neighborhood, talked to the girls about their talents and confidence. They were all so great. The girls are totally having a good time. Next week they will be helping the city with the easter egg hunt and working and learning some more of the opening number.

Cambria dances with her Aunts Tia and Irene as the Blitz (Semi Pro Football Team in St. George) Chicks. They are the dancers who do sideline routines. She is the youngest but is having such a great experience, especially dancing with her idols. Its so fun to watch the game, especially watching Uncle Andy play on the team.

MY Grandma!!!!
I found this picture on facebook from my cousin Rosie who posted it about her mother and I saw my grandma, so I had to take it. It was funny because it happened to be around my grandma's birthday. I was already thinking all about her and how much I missed her and then I came across this picture. She is the lady on the left. She was always so beautifully put together. Her hair was always in a bun (I loved watching her brush her long hair. She ALWAYS cleaned out her brush after using it, and handed it to one of us kids to throw away. What a memory, huh/.) She only wore red lipstick for her make-up, and she always wore jewelry. Her opal ring, her pearls and little stud earrings. She was absolutely beautiful. I miss my grandma so much, I just wish my children could have met her and enjoyed her as much as I did. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to spend so much time with her when I was a teenager. When I graduated from high school I had a really good job and every Friday after work I would drive an hour to spend the weekend with my Grandma and my aunt Marion. I looked forward to the time I got to spend with them. We would watch Lawrence Welk and do exercises on my grandma's bed, because her knees were so bad, and eat Pepperidge Farm Coconut Cake and just talk. She gave me lots of good advice with the boy scene. I can't help but cry when I see pictures of my grandma , but I know that I can feel her around me every now and then. Thank goodness we have the gospel and I know where she is and I know that I WILL see her again and hug her and smell her again. I can't wait for that day. She is amazing!!! I can't wait to introduce my children to her. I am so blessed to have her as my GRANDMA!!!
