DIXIE STATE UNIVERISTY WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM

Yes my beautiful soccer player is now at home playing for
DIXIE STATE UNIVERSITY WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM.
While she was home waiting to go back to Barton and play her all time favorite position as
STARTING STRIKER
she received a phone call from Dixie State's Soccer Coach.
She was wanting to make an offer to Cecilee to come and play Goalie for their team, because she lost 2 of her Goalie's. So she met with Cecilee and she didn't have much to offer her, because it was so late in the season and they only do partial scholarships so we would have to pay half.
Well, that didn't sound very good, because at Barton EVERYTHING was paid for, so she turned it down. Well the lady called again and asked if she had any diversity in her. Yes, she is POLYNESIAN!!! Then she asked if she was a resident of Kansas. Yes she was that also.
We had been praying to have Cecilee come closer to home and play, whether it was up to northern Utah, Nevada or Arizona, because we wanted to be able to go to her games and support her.
Well the coach called again and asked to meet with us and Cecilee. So Bryan and Cecilee went and she offered her a 3 year ALL TUITION paid scholarship, thanks to the grants that she found with the Diversity group and being an out of state resident.
WOW!!! That was very unexpected, but I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us and he always seems to intervene. Cecilee was NOT happy about the offer at all!!!
She wanted to go back to Barton and play STRIKER.
Bryan explained that to the coach that she also plays STRIKER and she was shocked and excited and said that she would allow her to play both positions.
Cecilee was still NOT happy, but she knew in her patriarchal blessing it says that her education will be paid for and it will come in the form of a miracle. So she knew she had to accept it.
After signing her release of scholarship for Barton, she received bad news from her coach.
ALL OF HER CREDITS FROM BARTON DIDN'T TRANFER & she was short 3 credits
and CAN'T COMPETE, but can PRACTICE and RED SHIRT this season.
OH MY GOODNESS, she was P***ed OFF!!!
She blew it!! Which I didn't blame her, she gave up the position that she loved at Barton to come home to play and she isn't playing now. My poor Cecilee, she kept yelling,
"Why do things like this ALWAYS happen to me!!!"
Well, come to find out Cecilee and Bryan both told the coach that she had taken classes from the college during high school and that maybe those would help. AND they DID!!!!
She came to her at practice and told her that she will be playing this season and
NOT RED SHIRTING afterall!
Wow, what a test and blessing! Heavenly Father sure knows Cecilee, as well as all of us and has a plan for us all, we just have to continue to have
FAITH IN HIS TIMING and HIS PLAN!!!
